Negotiating flexible hours with new employer

Anyone been successful doing this? I'm coming to the end of my maternity leave and have seen a job advertised which looks right up my street, however, my current employer has granted my reduced hours request and childcare arrangement made around my new hours.

Are there likely to be employers out there who would consider an applicant for less hours than what they are asking for?!

I'm going to apply anyway but wondered when the subject should be broached should I be lucky enough to get an interview...

Oh, basically I'm dreading now going back to current job as they've treated me like crap!

I had a friend who did this. Applied for a full time job. Got it, then when they offered it, asked if she could job share. They said yes. After a year she further negotiated term time only.

You have nothing to lose or you could phone before and ask if they would consider job shares.
