Time tracking tools

Can anyone recommend any free time tracking tools? I work for many clients at the same time and so need to track hours properly every day for end of month invoicing.

I use Toggl at the moment but it's not very good at filtering down between different clients / projects and has a very annoying little quirk when you add in your working hours - they have to be input in a spefic way which annoys me every time I use it!

I know I could just use an excel spreadsheet but I'd like a pretty online system, if possible.

Any recommendations?
Thanks

Placemarking

Harvest is good. Free I think for a certain number of clients/projects but not expensive tbh even if you pay (think it works out just under £10 a month for me) and you get a full months free trial to see if it works for you. I started very sceptical about paying but was a total convert very quickly, the time it saves me in preparing invoices is well worth it.
