Hi everyone,
I'm completely new to this and hoping to get some advice from you clever ladies out there.
I'm 30 years old, was made redundant about 4 weeks ago and am know 7 weeks pregnant.
Me and my partner are very happy about this but I can't stop worrying about the future and it sadly weighs heavy on my heart...

What help am I entitled to should the worst come to worse and I'm having trouble finding work?
It doesn't feel right starting a new job without letting them know I'm pregnant and which employer would go for someone who's almost 3 months pregnant?!
Will I be entitled to maternity pay?
It makes me frustrated to think I've worked since getting my degree and now I may loose out on any maternity pay?

Would be very grateful if someone could help shed some light on this.

Many thanks,
C

www.maternityaction.org.uk will be useful to you for answers to maternity related questions.

If you start a new job, as you are already pregnant you would not be entitled to SMP. You would need to look at Maternity Allowance.
