Career counselling?

My husband has been running his own business (online retail) for the past 10 years. Before that he worked for his father's business for over 15 years. Now his own company is about to be wound up and for the first time practically ever he needs to find a job working for someone else. I can see he is nervous about re-entering the job market especially after so many years of being his own boss. I think he needs some direction and confidence building and wonder if there exists such a thing as a career consultant to help him to focus on his next steps, help with CV, etc. Any advice?

The government have a careers service, I can't get the link at the moment but try googling it. They do skills tests and stuff to suggest areas and types of work.

Also maybe try your local uni. I went to Nottingham Trent and I know they did careers advice for locals as well as students.
