single mother expecting second child

My daughter is a single mother expecting her second child. She has recently been made redundant as the Leisure Centre she works in is being demolished, for a new one to be built. Is she obliged to sign on for jobseekers allowance or can she claim any other benefits? Her other child is 6, 7 later this year. What benefits might she be entitled to?
