you will always be her mum. there are many many years ahead of you both - she will hopefully have wonderful carers, kind teachers, lots of otehr peoepl in her life - but she'll never have else like you.

She will always know. And she will be less stressed about it than you are.

From the carer's point of view, as a childminder, it doesn't seem to make any difference how many hours/days I look after a child - they always know who mummy (and daddy) are! They are always pleased to see them.

Unfortunately, as soon as you are a mummy, you will feel guilty about absolutely everything.

It Will be fine. Trust me some days you will be glad to go back to work. Other days will be hard but once you get to know and trust the nursery it will be easier. Just remember nothing beats that moment when you go and pick her up and she gives you a big smile etc. Lovely!

that OP could've been written by me... i'm planning on going back to work when ds is 20 weeks and the guilt is crippling. DH has stressed to me that i don't have to do it, or if i try it and don't like it i can always leave but we need the money. don't get me wrong, there are times when being a SAHM seems like the least appealing thing in the world but at the same time, i can hardly envisage leaving my precious baby with anyone (even my mum!!) let me know how you get on, puggle, maybe we can support each other and tell each other what great mums we are!!
