AIBU To Take Todau Off Ill

I was diagnosed with a kidney infection and prescribed two weeks worth of antibiotics. I had to take Thursday and Friday off work sick, had a quiet weekend and still felt ill today so I telephoned in ill today saying I was hoping to go back tomorrow. My boss's comment was "funny it's half term and your antibiotics haven't started working yet...... Well I do wonder if we will see you tomorrow?" I do feel so very upset at this as I am feeling raw but part of me thinks I should have gone in and then left early. AIBU bring off today (should state I still have a temperature and a very upset stomach from the antibiotics)

I've not had one but kidney infections can be very nasty and your antibiotics can take nearly a week to make you feel better or sometimes worse with tiredness etc!! Your boss sounds like a prick! Are you off sick often to get this comment? Feel better soon!

If you don't feel well enough to do your job, that's exactly what sick days are for. Get well soon

No - I am not off often - in fact I am very rarely off unlike her PA who is just back from two weeks off with a cold. Over the last two years I have had a total of 5 days off sick (and 4 of them was for minor surgery).
