How do I work out this salary?

Hi.

I've seen a job ad that says the contract is 150 hours per 4 week period. It gives an hourly rate. Does anyone know how to calculate salary with that information, and how holidays work when contracts are worded like that please? Thanks.

There are 13 "four week" periods in a year. So 13 x 150 hours. Multiply that by the hourly rate.

Wouldn't you just multiple 150 x 4 x Rate? I wonder whether they pay 4 weekly? That's a pain for direct debits.

Sorry, my calculation was for your pay packet rather than your annual salary.

It's 37.5 hours per week; so full time. I'd imagine they do your contract like that so that at busy times you can do 40+ hours and at quiet times you can do below 40.

There are 52.143 weeks in a year (sad person alert) so divide 150 by 4 then multiply by 52.143 for your salary. Divide by 12 if you need to know a calendar month's salary.

Thanks. I assume holidays would be worked out on a normal 7.5 hour day. It's the first time I've seen a salary shown like that.
