I've been offered a job very unexpectedly that I went for an interview for 2 months ago, they had another position come up and asked if I would like it. I'm going in on Tuesday to discuss everything.

From what I remember from the original ad, it said £8.25 ph (grade B?) Doing 17.5 hours a week.

Would I do 8.25 x 17.5 x 39 weeks?

Then split across 12 months?

If so I'm cream cracked, can't afford to live off that. I'm devastated.

Earning 700 a month now

I would say that it would mean around £470 a month.

You would need to add on paid holiday entitlement to that too but it wouldn't come to an extra £200 a month as that would equate to around 25hrs of holiday a month, to be paid on top of your salary, which would be around 3 days a month (I don't even accrue that!)

Not many people can live on just seventeen hours a week work, if you really want the job you could get a second one around it. Plenty of hours left in the week to do so.

It's usually 44 weeks
39 weeks of work plus 5 weeks paid holidays.
Then they increase each year.

So hours x hourly rate x 44 weeks divided by 12 months.
