Does anyone have any experience of this?
I wish to spend around 4 hours per week making confectionery from home. As it's food preparation, I need to register with the local council and have asked my LL's permission. She has insurance concerns re fire etc.
I know that a recent change in the law means that a landlord cannot refuse permission for a home business unless it causes a nuisance, creates extra wear and tear or that the main use of the property is no longer as a home, none of which apply.
I do feel that her concerns are legitimate though.
Can I get insurance to cover this do you think?
