I resigned from my last job but couldn't make it to the end without going off with WRS. I have been offered a new job, but the medical checks are interminable. Tel cons with occupational health coming up, but no sign of a start date. What I wondered was; is this normal? do they want to pull back the offer but going through the hoops first? is it worth applying for something else or am I doomed? The stress, as I have explained, was quite specific to working circumstances and I otherwise have a spotless health/absence record going back 20 years ...The jobs I have been applying for are much less undemanding and on the whole are part time. Would it be worth checking what reference I have from last employer, or is it simply a slow system requiring patience?
