Does anyone know how to check what level qualifications obtained from abroad are or what the U.K. equivalent are?

Not being funny ( this is going to sound very obvious) , but have you tried googling [country of origin of qualification] + [educational institution] and [name of qualification] ? That could give you a sense of the level and place where the qualification was achieved.

You may not get an exact equivalent but it will be reasonably indicative whether academic or vocational etc which would map to Bachelors or Masters, or NVQ etc.

Maybe someone will come on and suggest there's a website but that's how I would start!

Which country and qualifications? Someone might know the answer if you ask?

Try www.naric.org.uk/naric/

Thanks all. I can't give any exact examples because we have actually never had reason to do this but as a company we need to have a procedure in place (should the occasion) ever arise, for a particular application we are making.
