app for recording expenses on android phone?

I am sick of gathering receipts (or failing to) then laboriously transcribing their contents to a document whcih then goes on the tax return.

Does anyone know of an app I could use to speed things up?

I use an app called receipt bank that you can take pictures of receipts and bus tickets etc and it automatically grabs the information, it's brilliant. You can also forward receipts you get by email to it. I think it's a paid for service as I use it for my job.

There is an app and you can upload photos/scanned copies of receipts.

Only trouble is, you'll have to pay for the service and it may not be decent value for only one user.

I'm starting to research it and getting pathetically excited.

I've photographed this financial year's receipts and stored them on iCloud.

It is really exciting not to have the paper hanging around...
