I've been asked by a friend for some advice, they are working in a team that is office based but most staff are technically casual staff even though they are all in nearly every week. The team is very male dominated, and often referred to by the supervisor as the 'lads' or 'boys'. Over the last few months the only members of staff asked not to come in have been female, with all the male nembers of staff always beimg asked in as a matter of routine. At the same time as we know female members have not been offered work, they are recruiting..and the majority of interviewees are male.
The only slight offset to this is that one e female member of staff has been asked in, do although no men have ever been not offered work, its not as simple as all men get work, all womem dont. Does that mean its still sexual discrimination?
