I had an interview a week ago (1 week and 1 day to be precise). This was the second of a three interview process. First was its a phone interview with HR, then a face-to-face with partners. I don't know how I did really so I've been googling for hints that you did well / did badly but I can't tell if I fit in either of those categories.
Firstly, it was obvious they were concerned about whether I can work with minimal supervisory input. I'm not sure how convincing I was but I know that was the issue they wanted convincing on. Anyway these are the things they said / did that I need help with establishing whether it went okay or didn't:
- no technical questions
- asked which clients would speak highly of me
- reassured me that although they know my boss they would not talk to him about the interview
- said 'this has been very helpful' towards the end of interview
- asked me about the hobbies I'd mentioned on my cv
- told me that one of my clients was a big fan of one of my hobbies
- told me about expansion plans
- when I asked a question they explained breakdown of types of work job involves in detail
- told me that process involved a second interview BUT did not say I would be offered a second interview but told me about the person who would do that interview and what their position is in the company
- did NOT ask me about notice period although notice period is standard in the industry (long)
- did NOT give me an indication of when I would hear but I didn't ask which I now regret.
What do you think? I was cautiously optimistic but am feeling pretty despondent now.
