hello guys just want to pick your minds. Has anyone applied for a job as a carer or nurse at the nhs and had a dbs done? If you have a drink and driving conviction where you end up paying a fee and a years driving ban will you get a job at the nhs?

Is driving a requirement of the post? Are you still banned?
Did you disclose this on the application?

I cannot claim to know the ins and outs in minute detail. Link below. They are looking for criminal activity relating to vulnerable adults and children i.e. Being on a barring list from working with them
www.nhsemployers.org/~/media/Employers/Publications/Employment%20checks%20NEW%20April%202016/Criminal%20record%20checks.pdf

BUT if you did not disclose it on the application (self delclaration) and it is shown on the DBS you will not get the job. You will look dishonest.
