some advice please

Just got a job after 6 years looking after the kids. What do I need to do in terms of tax codes etc? It's a small firm, no HR dept or anything. Will they just put me on emergency tax, or do I need to contact someone myself?

You need to fill in a p46 they should give you one, if not you can get one from tax office. depends on how much you get paid, if you got another job,and if you receive a pension. If you don't fill in the p46 they will put you on emergency coding. (DH accountant)

only earning £7 an hour for 22 1/2 hrs a week. No pension. I presume they will give me a P46?
