AIBU to want to go back to my previous job

Short story...
Left my previous job as TA L3 after Mat leave to become a Sahm to 5 DCs.
Been working there for 8 years during which I had 3 MLs, one SEN DC and gone part time. I'm happy as a Sahm. Life is much more manageable having one parent at home FT. But I still can't wait to go back PT once youngest starts nursery. Other 4 are at school. I would love to train to be a teacher once all DCs are at school.

Thing is, my old post has been advertised and I'm itching to apply. AIBU? Youngest is 18months and would put him in nursery. 3 days. Would be working 3 short days being able to pick and drop off DCs.

Please advise, share experiences good and bad. Thank you

What's stopping you? You know the role and you know the downsides as well as the positives. I'd go for it.

Thanks everyone. You're all so positive. I think I will apply and take it from there. I hope they'll want me again after all the reasons I gave 4 wanting to leave lol
