Dh and I started a business a few months ago. It's a trade so he does the actual job while I do the admin side part time as I am a full time student. He is very eager to hand in his notice at work so he can concentrate on the business full time, as he is finding it difficult to take on clients outside of normal 9-5 hours, which is the only time he has free at the moment.

Letting go of that monthly wage is quite terrifying however, especially as it may be a few months before the business starts to earn money.

Has anyone made the switch and care to share any words of wisdom?
Did you get any help with tax credits in the early days of the business?
