Increasing ours and SMP

I am currently work 30 hours and considering increasing hours to 36 which is full time in my office. I am pregnant with due date 11th of April. I don't really want to increase my hours unless my SMP increases during these first 6 weeks. If I increased hours now or in next few weeks would it help my SMP?

Your maternity pay is calculated using the 8 week period that leads up to your 25th week of pregnancy. If that period has passed then your increased pay will not count towards your maternity pay
