30+ and temping

I haven't worked for well over 4 years. I'm not entirely sure exactly what I want to do. I feel completely clueless and out of touch work wise. Would it be frowned upon to temp whilst I built up my confidence and brushed up my office skills? Or is it a complete no no after you're 30?

Go for it, age shouldn't be a barrier. I have just signed up for the staff bank at a local hospital today. I now have to wait for DBS and reference checks. I am 46. I have two primary aged school children so working full time is going to be a problem. I have worked part time for the last 30 years.
