What business would you start if you had the following resources;

£10,000
A large van
Some storage space (approx. 60 square metres)
Good understanding of eBay/Facebook pages and real life auctions

Things to take into account;
Inability to work for anyone else or to delegate to anyone else
Don't want to work unsociable/long hours due to family and animals

A small move/house clearance service?

The 'man with a van' types around here seem to charge a fortune.

Sorry should also add it's just me - I'm quite strong but not capable of moving big stuff on my owm, and want to stay as a 'one woman band' and not have to have the difficulties of employing anyone.

Might not be something you have considered, but one of my friends has just started her own photo booth business, she managed to get a photobooth, some different designs, a website for about £8k and shes already doing really well from it. She bought it from www.photobooths.co.uk I think?

I'm thinking self move storage? People who need their stuff moved now, can rent your van and space??? Then charge rent for each week???

I don't have enough room for storage unless it was small stuff, I could probably fit one house's worth of furniture in but that would be it.

I know I'm late to the paty here but I'd Look into what the current trends are for weddings and occasions. A friend did similar to the photo booth thing but hires out a sweet cart/huge chocolate fountain/ chair covers and started from nothing. As long as you'd be happy working most Saturdays to deliver and set up then what you've detailed would be perfect.
