Flexibility over environment what would you choose?

I have the best flexibility I work 30 hours and have one day off a week (fixed but occasionally moved) Flexitime so I can come/go as I please within reason and build up for a days extra leave per month.
Plus I have all the school holidays.

But....I hate this job, more like a call centre environment, sterile, pressures, workload ridiculous.

I am thinking of applying for a different job, still has school holidays but no day off or flexibility.
The day off allows me to assist with my carers role and also I have health issues so it helps me recharge, and there is no possibility of having this day off per week. So I my having doubts over whether I should go for it or not.
What would you do?

Just as an aside the money would be at exactly the same grade and I don't think the role would be as stressful/pressured...
Opinions please!

It depends on what's more important to you. The flexibility or the change in career. Is it another job in the same organisation?

Also, if it's less pressured you may find that's a relief.

So, more pay if not having a day off?

Can you ask for a reduction in hours? I got a traditional Mon to Fri job negotiated to 4 days a week.

If you can demonstrate that you are capable of doing things job in less hours, go for it

Apply for it and then decide once you have an offer. Until then you have no options.

I was encouraged to apply by the manager there, I know them you see.
Yes more money as I would be working the extra day, I asked if it could be 4 days thee answer was a firm no.
Different organisation but would appear (on the JD but when do they ever stick to that!) that it's less pressure.
I really don't know what to do, I am 54 and find any change a wrench I hate myself inability to make decisions these days, I think it's also as I have a carers role my current employer kind of understand this, though I haven't had any time out for it at all.
