I am qualified to work as a taxi driver but am wondering how I can ever make money. I have to hire a vehicle, radio and pay for petrol. Then there is tax on earnings. Does anyone on here make money as a taxi driver? Also, can I offset my expenses against tax, can I also not pay vat? Could I buy my own vehicle (which would be cheaper than hiring) vat free?. I'm sure it will become clear but can anyone give me some advice for now, it all seems quite daunting.
