Am I too old to be a Trainee?

Seen an ad for my dream job but as a traineeship, I have scoured the specifications and nowhere does it mention age
I am 43yrs old (and a quarter!)
I meet all the spec and GCSE results
Do I use the contact email to ask or just apply?
Closing date is Monday ..

I asked in the end if there were any upper age limits ... There isn't
