Employer not following through with disciplinary result

Hi,
I recently made a complaint against a colleague, it was brought to disciplinary and I was advised the colleague would be leaving the team.
This was a week and a half ago. The colleague is still there. I think they may be having issues placing them elsewhere.
Is there a timeline by which they have to follow through?

You actually shouldn't have been, really.

Why don't you ask them when you are going to be informed officially of the outcome?

Though they might not tell you much, other than "your complaint was/wasn't upheld"

Plus, if it was a proper disciplinary then these things take time. Often a looooong time. Were unions involved? Written statements? Interviews? Or was it just a verbal complaint from you?

My manager told me the result.
My complaint was upheld. No unions or anything.
Colleague behaved badly. There was evidence which proved it, very straightforward.

As long as you have everything in writing, then I'd approach the manager who told you and ask what the next step will be. Presumably the other person has also had everything in writing, though you're unlikely to be told anything about that side.

I would actually put in writing to my manager that I'd like to know the next step, which, if your complaint has been upheld, you have the right to, although it will be in very general terms, you wouldn't be told for example, the exact ins and outs as far as X is concerned.

You need IMO to now go to both your direct line manager and back to HR in writing and ask when it's going to be resolved. You were promised one thing, that he would be moved, then told there was nowhere for him to be moved to. Is this in writing? Insist that everything is. If they tell you verbally, then tell them you want it in writing. Ask for a chaperone to be with you if necessary. HR (if it's a decent biggish company) should know that this is standard procedure and should not refuse.

Sounds to me they're trying to placate you and find the easy way out for them, and him.

I was told verbally he would be moved. When he was not moved within a week I followed up with my manager in writing and asked what the timeline was. I was then told there seemed to be issues placing him. Manager has been off, I will follow up with him again and also HR.
I have no formal written result of the disciplinary from HR.

The other person may have lodged an appeal against the outcome and they are keeping the status who until this is heard.
