I am considering retraining but I need guaranteed employment.
Which areas need more people?
Thanks

In my area of south Wales: nurses, midwives, occupational therapists. Hard to say in 4-5 years time if there will still be vacancies

Rather than training for a specific job, it would probably be better to train up lots of transferable skills which you could use in many different jobs.

Science or maths teachers

IT, cyber security, risk, maths (teaching & actuarial type skills). The thing with all of these is they're a very specific skillset which requires both knowledge and aptitude. Perhaps if you could give us an indication of where your skills and abilities are then we would be able to identify the shortages in those areas

Teaching very much depends on the area of the country you are in. In some areas there are very few vacancies, in other areas there are loads.
