Qualify for child benefit???

I am on self employed but going to be umemployed. (owing to the company closure)If I cant find a job until the birth of my baby (in 8 months), am i qualified for any child benefit? Definitely I am not entitled to any maternity pay but i am not so sure whether i can claim working + child credit. thx

Everyone is entitled to child benefit, you should also recieve child tax credits once your lo has arrived.

As long as you are UK resident you should be entitled to CB afaik.

Working Family Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit and Child Benefit are all separate benefits
The first two are income tested but child benefit is a right to all UK parents.
