Early Years Training - does this course exist

I want to do a course to help me to teach Early Years (aged 4 - 6 )children but NOT in a school or pre-school setting.

What I basically need is class and behaviour managment techniques, the sort of thing a teacher would learn on a primary PGCE.

I am currently an assistant for 3 hours a week in an out of school activity and I have the subject knowledge to be the teacher, but not the confidence at dealing with the children, strategies, techniques etc.

As I work in an office 2 days a week and have a 2 year old son to look after this would have to be part time.

The only thing I can find are classroom assistant courses but I havn't got a school in which to do my placement, playleader courses which don't seem relevant and PGCE's which I couldn't afford to do as I would have to give up my current job and get childcare.

The Open University do a couple of modules which seem relevant and I would be able to use my current position as the practical but the courses are in excess of £600 each.

Does anyone know if this type of course exists, what it would be called or has any alternate suggestions.
