Salary Survey data - senior execs

Does anyone know where I can get reliable remuneration package details for Directors and senior staff?

I work in quite a niche industry and we're not part of any professional body either so I'm not sure where to go to get details without paying a flippin' fortune.

I'm looking for 'package' details, such as car allowance, bonus, pension, healthcare etc.

Does CIPD do this kind of survey? I've looked at Payscale and Hayes so far but it's all a little bit generic and unless your Directors fall under a standard job title, there's really nothing to see. I feel depressed just looking at the ONS reports as they seem to think we all still work down the mines or in factories.

I think you'll struggle tbh - I guess the best way will be to look at similar level jobs in similar sectors, or if there are any recruitment ads around. You could speak to specialist recruitment agencies, but they would probably say a higher figure to increase their fees.

A lot of these sorts of remuneration packages will be very bespoke and depending on a lot of factors such as the individual person and their performance. It can be really hard to do a benchmarking exercise for senior people.

If you're trying to see whether you're paid in line with the market your best bet is probably to speak to a recruitment consultant.

I've been asked to justify increases for 2017 by researching the market but the market doesn't give away this kind of information.

I'll look at similar jobs across a range of industries and draw up a table I think.

Thanks.

You would typically have to pay for anything robust.

What industry are you in? Alan Jones & Associates do some industry specific surveys.

Thanks snowgirl1 I'll have a look at Alan Jones. Don't want to say what industry I'm in as may out myself.

Without knowing industry it's impossible to say.

If you want to look at the very top of the organisation (e.g. top 5) you can look at Annual Reports, Remuneration reports and for US companies form 10-K. Otherwise, as people have said, it's hard to advise without understanding your industry. There are consultancies (big and boutique) who conduct these studies and may have useful data but you will need to pay.

Glassdoor?
They might have info on packages at competitor organisations

I'm assuming this isn't a FTSE company?
