Where to be based for the children?!

Hi,

Long shot and a bit of an odd one but we're looking to relocate as my husband works in Farringdon and we live in Somerset.

We have 2 y/o twins and we want to buy/rent within commutable distance of an hour.

Good primary schools are key, as is being in a safe place for the kids.

Does anybody have any ideas? We're already looking at St Albans.

You might get a bit more of a response if you start a thread in 'chat' with a title saying 'Anybody know Farringdon area' or something, then the right people will at least open your thread. Without the name of the area, it's a bit hit and miss
