New job (NHS). When will I get a contract?

Hi,

I have accepted a new post in the NHS and I am currently working my notice. It is a move from one trust to another. It has just dawned on me that I don't have a contract. It is that long ago that I moved that I have forgotten what happens and when.
I have filled in forms with recruitment (health stuff etc.) but no contract. I presumed I would get this once I had stared or should I ask for one now?

I got mine at induction.

I got mine at induction on day 1.

Mine was sent out to me a few days before my start date.

Wow I'm amazed at your responses so far! In my experience trusts have taken forever to get the contract out to me. One took 6 months and another...well I've been in post 2.5 years and still nothing.
