Flexible working not working!!

Hi everyone, having a few dilemmas here. We recently moved a long way from my place of work, and to cut a long story short the only solution was for me to reduce my hours and apply for flexible working. This was accepted and I now work from home 3 days a week and go into work only 4 days per month! However, I am finding that as they have not recruited another member of staff to take on some of my work I'm trying to fit in a full-time job into a lot less time (& I'm also writing up a PhD, & pregnant too!). I feel like I've shot myself in the foot, but as I'm pregnant don't want to start a new job etc. Any advice anyone? Thank you!

Are you in a Union? It might be worth having a chat with them.

You need to talk to your boss - as soon as possible and explain this to him/her. Be proactive - suggest what can wait and what is urgent and explain that you can not do it all. Ask for his/her input into priorities - but make sure they understand that you CANNOT do all of this work.

Good luck
