You will need to check with the particular school. Our school does not allow this.

They have to be 16 at my school :)

I will of course, I was just wondering. I think the school might allow a 16 year old at 3.30 but I think that after school clubs probably expect someone over 18. But I need to check obviously!

Our school actually allow year 4 so 8 years old to leaver on their own of parents have given permission to that is. Not sure how they would feel if you asked to do the same for year 3 but it's surly far better then them going home on their own. DD was only just 8 when she started year 4 as well, I had to sign to form just so she could leave the classroom on her own and come around the building to meet me at reception where I pick up DS.
