Interview Outfit

Hello, I have interview for an HR role, desperately looking for an outfit - would smart casual ie skirt, blouse, cardi, scarf be acceptable or do I need to go down the whole suit road. I would personally feel uncomfortable being too formal, but would appreciate any advice.

I usually do skirt and jacket (matching combo) with flat shoes and tights. Fairly formal but I don't wear makeup. Most important is that you're comfy

Thanks jclm, I never wear makeup either, but was thinking a bit of lippy on the day, I think you're right that I need to be comfy and to be honest a suit isn't me. It's my first interview in a long time, so very nervous.
