CE marking

Thinking of starting up a small business. I know I'll need to get the product CE marked and was wondering if someone could explain the process please and how much it's likely to cost.

There's a helpful Facebook group about this - I can't link at the moment but search for CE Marking Support. You can self certify. I didn't end up going down the toy route at all but looked into it.
