When to ask about flexible working?

I'm currently looking for a role and have a couple of interviews coming up; neither mention whether the role is FT/PT, or if flexible working options are available.

Ideally, due to family commitments, a travelling DH and volunteer commitments, I would like to work 4 days or part-time over 5 days, or some flexible combination.

Should I ask about this in advance, or in the interview, or after I've (hopefully) been offered a position? I've been self-employed for 10 years, so out of the loop in terms of recruitment protocol.

Thanks!

It depends if it's a deal breaker. If you'd consider full time, you might as well ask at interview. If you'd not consider full time hours, then you need to ask before an interview otherwise you may be wasting your own time and the employers'.

Thanks MrsJamin, perhaps I'll drop them a line to see what they're thinking regarding hours.
