Has anyone worked in Service now in IT field

Hi,
I would like to know is there a demand for jobs in Service now. Will it be useful for me if i learn it to get a job. Any advice appreciated.

Yes. Absolutely. Friends of mine have worked in service for years.
Look at classifieds in The Lady or other society mags. Also wealthy 'new money' types also employ full time staff.
Be careful though. Some big 'aristocratic ' type estates can think they 'own' you. In a nice way. So check the contracts carefully. Make sure you know the accommodation. Some even employ say the husband or wife and the whole family with kids enjoy the life in the country.

Service Now is doing pretty well as a company, I'd say it would be a good skill to have if you have or are looking to start an IT support career.

Ok embarrassing. When you said 'in Service' now I thought you meant 'in Service' and you were 'now in IT'.

Are you talking about ServiceNow the ITSSM platform/company? If so: I've worked on a proposal selling it to a client and one of my former co-workers works for them now. They are a good employer according to him and I regard the product as solid. I'm currently involved in service management for a product where the client uses ServiceNow as its ITSSM software, too. Like working with it.

Are you looking to work for ServiceNow or working with it? If you're interested in the technical side of things: their developer's wiki is openly accessible via the internet. Virtual classroom trainings for sysadmin work takes three days and is both affordable and worth it.

If you're looking more towards a user perspective (e.g. working in incident management or similar) you might also want to look at an ITIL v3 certification. It's ridiculously simple and a good line to have on your CV.
