What are the common reasons for declining a flexible working request? I think I'm going to apply.

Any advice welcome. I want to go for compressed working hours, so ft but over 4 days. My boss won;t want to agree it I'm sure so I need to make a good case. I manage people so that may come up as an objection but I have good managers reporting to me who can certainly handle my not being there 1 day a week.

Any advice welcome. Thanks.

I would think that as you are not wanting to reduce your hours - just work them more flexibly, this would be regarded as a positive.
