I work as a self employed sole trader and use my car to travel to most of my clients. Yesterday my car started to have a problem that I need to get sorted with a garage (oil warning light- no idea if an electrical fault or something potentially more serious but don't want to drive it until I know). Can I count the hours I spend getting it to the garage, hanging around while they look at it and/or travelling back home and going to pick it up again etc as part of my working hours for tax credits? I also use my car for personal travel of course.
