Can I be released from this Contract

I am self employed. I rent a room for my business within a hair salon. I have signed a very basic Tenancy agreement. It's just one slip of paper it says assured short hold tenancy and the term is 52 weeks. Does anyone know if I would be able to break the contract early?

Does it not have a clause about giving notice?

It just says she can release me from the contract if I'm in breach of it ie non payment of rent. But nothing about me being able to break it Sad

If there's no break clause, you have no right to terminate early and the landlord can rightly demand full payment of rent for the full term, together with any other costs stipulated in the lease, such as building maintenance/repairs etc required under the full term.

Your best bet is to open a dialogue with the landlord to see if they'll voluntarily release you of your obligations early.
