Hi

I work 7.5 hrs(10-7) per day and have 1 hour and two 15 minutes of unpaid breaks each day. My manager wants me to stop having two 15 minute breaks and start at 10.30, can she do this?

My understanding is that you have to have a 30min break if you work over 6 hours - you would still be getting quite a bit more than that.
I guess it depends on the type of work.... if you can still nip to the loo for example.... as to whether you had a case to argue against it, and then it would be up to them to make a business case?

I'm no lawyer or HR person though, but this might bump it for someone doing more than speculating.

If you work over 6 hours in one shift your entitled to one 20 minute break that must not be at the start or the end of the shift here is the direct gov page.

As above the legal minimum is one 20 minute break per 6 hour shift. So with an hour break you're well above the minimum
