Fixed term contract ends whilst on maternity leave. Can I get childcare vouchers?

Hello,

I'm hoping this is the correct place to ask this.

I'm a teacher in a state school and I'm eligible for the normal maternity pay, even though I am on a fixed term contract (it's based on continuous service within the borough, which I have).

My contract expires on 31st August 2016 but I will be on maternity leave from Jan 2016 - Jan 2017. By the time my contract expires, I will be on SMP only. I've asked my school's HR about how I'll be paid, and they've said that I will get my SMP payments for Sept 16 and Oct 16 as part of a lump sum payment in August.

What I'm now wondering is, am I eligible to receive my childcare vouchers for Sept 16 - Jan 17, whilst I am still officially on maternity leave, even if I'm not officially employed?

Thanks.

No you aren't entitled to them post employment.
