Hi anyone know what area of social work has the most prospects in terms of development, career progression and money- BUT nothing to do with children (I can never do childrens social work)

I have qualified and been offered a role in the NHS in Mental Health

I have an interview for YO in local authority

Which would you choose ? My passion is prison/forensic work but the pay is very poor (maybe if I was young and didn't have dependants, but with three children, money plays an important factor)

Hi, frontline child protection as an agency social worker has the highest pay rates and propensity for career progression. Have you totally ruled that area out? There is try option to progress to independent reviewing officer etc after gaining experience
