I I have I have a bit of a dilemma and I don't know what to do! I currently work as a carer working 3 12hr nigh shifts a week and getting £7.15 an hour minus one hour breaks.
I have now been offered a job at a supermarket working 8hr night shifts at around £9.50 an hour including breaks so much better money the only thing holding me back is its 5 nights a week. I really don't know if to take it or not. I don't like my current job. Don't get me wrong the residents are lovely but 12 hours is really hard going and alot of the other carers are horrible. I've been looking for a way out but with 3 children aged 10, 7 and 5 I'm not sure if I'll be biting off more than I can chew. I can sleep while they are at school but it's the holidays I worry about even though I have been coping for the last year doing nights and having them in the day plus the shifts are alot shorter.
I'm really at a loss what to do. What do you all think?
