Police analyst within the security services - what does the job involve?

I have seen a fab looking job advertised in my area (overseas), within the international security service division, analyzing the threat scenario globally, and how it impacts locally, etc.

It seems they are looking for a person with broad education and analytical skills. There will be extensive training. They are not looking for a lawyer, or somebody with international politics, just "a degree" and varied work experience.

How do I convince them I am right for the role?

I have a one year full time uni course in literature, mainly literary analysis. Ba Ancient World, MA classics with emphasis on neo classicist philosophy, various professional courses within marketing, digital marketing, web site analysis.
I have worked within IT security for over 10 years, mainly dealing with cyber security and cyber threats and threats landscape analysis.

How can I best make the connection to global crime trends and terrorism?
