Hello,
I'm a specialist teacher assistant in a Secondary school. I'm returning from my Mat leave on the 2nd of November but unfortunately/ fortunately I'm having a Cornea transplant on the 26th of October. This would mean I would only have one week recovery before going back to work. usually The doctors notes would be two weeks. I can't afford to take any more time off work unpaid. Does anybody know if I'm in titled to sick pay? smile Thanks

I am pretty sure that if you have a doctor's note your sick pay would be the same as if you weren't on maternity leave. You should retain all rights/benefits. Hope that helps!
