not returning to work after ML

hi all, I am planning to take 52 weeks of ML topped up by my holiday allowance at the beginning before the leave starts which is 25 days paid-
my baby is due early March and my holiday allowance starts from January so I would have earned (and spent) my holiday allowance before going on ML.

I only get the statutory pay-nothing extra from the company but I expect I will be getting my regular benefits while on leave (private healthcare, travel insurance, life insurance).

Does anyone know for sure if I would have to pay anything back at the end of the leave if I decide not to come back to work at the end of the leave? Our company has no written maternity policy and there is nothing about this in my employment contract so i need to know what the law says.

Anyone been in the similar situation? I have been searching for info on this and the only thing I found is that if you get additional maternity pay and don't come back you might have to pay it back and that you will probably not need to pay your statutory pay but nothing about benefits or how much notice you have to give them if you don't come back (it only says 8 weeks if you change the date you want to come back).

Thanks a lot!!

They have to state any conditions upfront but your benefits and pension continue while you remain employed regardless. You need to give your usual notice of not returning.
