I applied for a job and sent my application to the email address listed on the ad. I didn't get a confirmation email from them, but the email didn't bounce back, so I had assumed they had received it.
Two weeks later, I still hadn't heard from them so I rang them. It turns out they didn't receive my application and they have already short listed and appointed for the job. I'm so disappointed!!! (I was a very strong candidate for the job, and it was close to my home etc. I have been unemployed for two years and I need to get back to work for my own sanity!!!)
It is possible that i sent the application to the wrong email address. But I am convinced that the job advert listed the wrong email address. The fact that they had to extend the deadline for applications may indicate that other applicants sent their applications to the wrong address too.
Anyway, if they have shortlisted and appointed already, there's not much I can do now.
