I have a full time job and work a 35hr week (Mon to Fri) plus every second saturday. This is not in my contract, which is exremely vague on what I am contracted to do. It does not say how many hours I work per week, start or finish times or days. I am paid overtime for anything over and above by 35hrs, so am always paid at OT rate for my Saturdays. Another employee who works alternate Saturdays to me is being made redundant. It has been suggested to me (unofficially at the moment) that I am being put on the rota for EVERY Saturday once she leaves. Can they do this? What rights do I have?I so not want to work every Saturday, but I am not sure if I have any choice.
